Viewers of News 14 Carolina’s statewide “Capital Tonight” program had a chance this week to watch Carolina Journal Managing Editor Rick Henderson as he discussed CJ‘s role in covering state politics and public policy issues. Meanwhile, the News & Observer‘s “Under the Dome” — in print and  online — followed up Henderson’s report that the N.C. House’s state budget plan cut out funding for the job of a state Commerce official implicated in a scandal surrounding funding for a sustainability center.

N.C. Senate Republicans’ daily press email highlighted Henderson’s report on North Carolina’s latest official employment data, Associate Editor Sara Burrows‘ article on annexation legislation, Associate Editor Barry Smith‘s piece on changes to North Carolina beer franchise laws, contributor Dan Way‘s story on a lawsuit involving beachfront property at Emerald Isle, and John Locke Foundation Director of Communications Mitch Kokai‘s article on state government efficiency proposals. American Enterprise Institute president Arthur Brooks promoted on his website this week a video clip from his recent interview with CarolinaJournal.tv.
