If you watched tonight’s Democratic presidential debate you noticed George Stephanopoulos grill Barack Obama about his friendship with former ’60s radical William Ayers. At least one e-mailer to NRO’s The Corner says Sean Hannity should get the credit for Steph’s line of inquiry:
You can thank Sean Hannity for that question. Steph was on his show yesterday and Sean really hammered the point that no one in the media had asked Obama about Ayers. Stephy said he was writing down all the info Sean gave him.
So, on April 15 Stephanopoulos was “writing down all the info” about Ayers. This, according to the e-mailer, was by Steph’s own admission, which leads one to think that this was news to him. That’s a disturbing thought, that one of the nation’s foremost TV journalists wouldn’t know of this connection until yesterday. I blogged about it more than a month ago, and the information was out before then.
Steph needs to do some of his own reading rather than leave it to the ABC interns.
