The results of a state audit released this week about misuse of funds by an administrator at NC Central University are clear, according to this News & Observer story:

A high-ranking administrator at North Carolina Central University stole thousands of dollars in federal research grant money, possibly to pay off personal items bought with his university credit card, according to a state audit released Tuesday.

Yet, the official is still a faculty member. That has some NC Central students upset, and others saying no one should come to a conclusion about the allegations just yet. NCCU officials won’t talk about it. They say it’s a personnel issue.
