Let’s see, it has been over a week since the Uptown paper of record endorsed Pat McCrory for governor despite instances of the mayor pandering “to the far right” over the years. I emailed editorial page editor Taylor Batten — twice — for examples of such pandering as well as enlightenment on what might be “far right.”
Nada.
Which I guess is not surprising considering in-house political reporter Jim Morrill just wrapped up a fair if terse two-parter on Mayor Pat’s political life without any reference to these “far right” panderings. Must be like p0rn — you know it when you see it and polite people do not go about trying to explain it.
Update: McCrory picked up “home town” endorsements from the major Triad papers as well.
