Well, let’s just say the priorities of Navy Admiral Samuel Locklear are stunning. He places climate change at the top of his list of long-term threats.
Locklear says that some folks “are surprised” to hear about the threat of climate change.
“People are surprised sometimes. … You have the real potential here in the not-too-distant future of nations displaced by rising sea level. Certainly weather patterns are more severe than they have been in the past. We are on super typhoon 27 or 28 this year in the Western Pacific. The average is about 17,” he said.
