Unfortunately for Capitol Broadcasting’s Jim Goodmon, no matter how much money, time and effort he invests in the Triangle — particularly in Durham — it will never be enough to those who show envy and anger toward the risk-takers and producers in our society. Take, for example, this item in Saturday’s Raleigh News & Observer (scroll down to 3rd item in column) in which Victoria Peterson, identified as a “city gadfly,” criticized Goodmon for making a $76,000 donation to the city. Said Peterson in part, according to the N&O:
“We want more than $76,000…we want the percentage of dollars that he owes the community.”
To Ms. Peterson I say: Your comment is incredibly ungrateful.
To Mr. Goodmon I say: Thank you.
