Electronic gaming establishments are now legal. The Town of Columbus has tried fining them out and zoning them out, and still . . . . So, in the latest volley, the town is expressing concerns about parking. Evidently, video gamers are not as green as the rest of us. The city fathers don’t care how fat they get, and so they are not intentionally providing inadequate access for automobile traffic. Video gambling establishments shall be required to provide one parking space for each gaming terminal.

More honestly, members of the town council have argued the machines “are not consistent with the small-town, local feel.”
