Former NC State Chancellor James Oblinger is heading to Las Cruces for his job interview. He’s vying with four others to be the new president of the university. This document from the NMSU Web site indicates things get going Sunday with a tour of Las Cruces. On Monday, his day includes a press conference. I’ll wager the name Mary Easley will come up. Things wrap for him Tuesday afternoon with a Board of Regents interview. NMSU has stated it will name its new president by Nov. 19.
