WRAL’s website reports that the select committee has recommended June Atkinson (D) be awarded the election for Superintendent of Education. No surprise there.
Bill Fletcher (R) has filed for re-election to the Wake County School Board this fall “but said his decision shouldn’t be construed that he is giving up on the superintendent’s race”, which shouldn’t surprise anyone either.
