“Superman just went down…”

The first Medal of Honor of the Iraq War (and only the third since Vietnam) was awarded posthumously today to Army Sgt. 1st Class Paul Ray Smith.

When Smith died, Command Sgt. Maj. Gary J. Coker said, his soldiers had trouble believing it. “Superman just went down, was the attitude,” he said.
