One possible solution is a regionwide yearly licensing fee of up to $5 per car that could raise about $5 million a year, more than enough to offset the budget gap, McKinney said.
At least Guilford County Commissioner and PART board member Carolyn Coleman advised McKinney that “the county is not in favor of additional taxes on anything.”
