Details are sketchy, but seems an overnight raid in Durham produced the arrest of suspect in connection with the murder of Eve Carson.
TV station WTVD captured video of the police raid and a man taken into custody who bears a close resemblance to the individual portrayed in ATM and convenience store photos.
Chapel Hill police have suggested that a press conference may follow sometime this morning.
Update: Durham resident and expert Jon Ham advises that the suspect was taken into custody in an area known for drugs, gangs and general mayhem. “Everyone in Durham knows where the drug dealers hang out. Why can’t the police and our city fathers do something about it? How many more Eve Carsons have to die before our elected and appointed officials put the safety and security of law-abiding citizens ahead of political correctness?”
I’ll be brutally honest, quite a few have to die until one victim is the son or daughter of state powerbroker. Either that, or some grieving out-of-state parents take a page out of the Duke lacrosse playbook, lawyer up with the best help in the state, and go looking to sue folks for failing to do their jobs.
