Crime Alert – Suspicious Activity
Durham police are investigating a report of suspicious activity that occurred late Thursday morning in the American Village subdivision.
A 3-year-old boy was playing in the yard around 11:30 a.m. Thursday when a male got out of a white car and told the child he wanted to show him a dog in his car. The child’s older brother heard what was happening and the children ran into the house.
The man ran back to the car at the same time a woman came running from behind the house and got in the car. The two sped away. The car is described as a small white car with dark tinted windows. The woman was described as short and brown-skinned with long black hair. The male was described as having black hair and brown skin and
he spoke with an accent.Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator V.M. Figueroa at 560-4583, ext. 227.
