About 3,000 protesters from across North Carolina gathered outside the state Legislative Building Wednesday for the Take Back Our State Tea Party. WNCN and WTVD Television were among the media outlets to note the John Locke Foundation’s role in putting the rally together. Vice President for Outreach Becki Gray, Fiscal Policy Analyst Joseph Coletti, and Carolina Journal Executive Editor Don Carrington all briefed rally participants during a special session inside the legislative auditorium. Gray also spoke at the outdoor rally, and she appeared on Bill LuMaye’s WPTF Radio afternoon program to discuss the event. Gray hit the road as well this week for presentations at the latest Carolina Freedom Club meetings in Winston-Salem and Charlotte. (Speaking of rallies, the Stanly News & Press mentioned this week communications director Mitch Kokai‘s participation in a Tea Party scheduled one week from today in Albermarle.)
