On State Government Radio, Dr. Troy Kickler discussed the causes and effects of the 1898 Wilmington Race Riot. The interview with Donna Martinez comes after the release of a report commissioned by the General Assembly to do just that. Troy also participated in a History Forum in Asheboro, where the topic was Western Civilization and its role in the past and the future. Troy defined Western Civilization and discussed the reasons why Western Civilization was the only civilization in which capitalism was born. He also discussed the pros and cons of globalization for Western Civilization, and the possibilities of capitalism taking root in other countries.
