Chad Adams headed to Cabarrus County Thursday night for a speech to
local activists about the importance of having contested political
races. For a reminder of how both major parties performed at the
state and local levels last November, read two John Hood post-election
columns: this one tells the tale of two Republican parties, while this
piece takes a look at county races around the state. Next week, Adams
continues his role as keynote speaker for the FreedomWorks 2005 tour.
He’ll make stops in Franklin, Colfax, Asheville, Waynesville and
Marion. Local tax burdens and the issue of property rights will take
center stage in his comments.
