Meanwhile, tax proposals in North Carolina took center stage when Joe Coletti joined a conference call Wednesday, hosted by the Tax Foundation. Coletti updated representatives from state think tanks and tax-oriented organizations about North Carolina tax policy and Governor Easley’s proposal for higher and broader taxes on everything from cigarettes and cable TV to candy and caskets.
