I finally reviewed the recent poll commissioned by the North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE). A progressive firm called brilliant corners Research & Strategies surveyed 804 North Carolinians in early April.
This doesn’t mean that the poll is flawless. For example, one question flat-out lies about teacher salaries. Indeed, $52,000 is not the maximum salary for a teacher with 25 years of experience, it is the minimum salary per the state salary schedule.
Finally, the poll found that North Carolinians have no strong feelings about private school vouchers (or the NCAE for that matter).
