First, these teachers know that Dan Forest is a formidable candidate. Second, they could not name a single education-related accomplishment from the Cooper administration. Sure, his allies will claim that standing with the N.C. Association of Educators and vetoing Republican budgets and legislation counts as wins. But will that be enough to win over some of more moderate voters in the electorate, particularly those who want leaders to demonstrate bipartisanship?
