Yes, I am surprised too.

ABC 11 reports that parents who have children assigned to Lead Mine Elementary School have petitioned the Wake County Board of Education to remove Principal April Hill.  Petitioners claim,

We’ve lost ten (10) staff members mid-year; 15 are planning to leave at the end of the year, and 8 more have requested transfers that we know of, potentially bringing total turnover to over 50% in the one year since the Principal started at Lead Mine.

I started reading that sentence and expected it to end “…since the Republicans took control of the N.C. General Assembly.”  But, no, it didn’t end that way.  It placed the blame squarely on the appointment of April Hill, who is not a member of the legislature but an elementary school principal.
