This is what a wintergreen Life Saver looks like when it breaks:

The image was created by high school science students here in New Hampshire. A chemistry teacher and photography teacher got together to capture the image on film as a class experiment. It is believed to be the best photo of its kind ever taken.

These teachers will almost certainly win teacher of the year honors this year, and deservedly so. What a creative way to engage students in science, which can be very tedious to the teenage mind.
