That’s the new buzz phrase Brad Wilson introduced today as he and fellow members of the General Assembly’s 21st Century Transportation Committee started considering their work for the months leading up to the 2009 session of the General Assembly.
Wilson, the committee’s chairman, challenged colleagues “to identify a set of approaches that will provide at least $10 billion in new revenue over the next 10 years.” Wilson dubbed the idea “10 for 10.”
Wilson asked colleagues to consider a vehicle-miles-traveled approach, a use tax increase, toll roads (including tolls for Interstate 95), a transportation bond, a local-option sales tax for transportation, and other options.
Perhaps the group can consider transportation polic ideas espoused here.
