Still quite stunning to me that the nation’s top cop is Attorney General Eric Holder. His track record of disrespect for justice is long and varied.
So is it fitting — or deeply disturbing — that Holder will be the guest of honor Friday for the graduation ceremony for CMPD police officers hired through the Community Policing Dispatch Hiring Recovery Program?
Last July CMPD got a $8,545,950 federal grant to fund 50 officers. Let’s hope they believe in justice and the rule of law.
Bonus Observation: Isn’t more than a little disturbing that the Holder Justice Department — Obama’s Justice Department — is in federal court right now saying the State requires no warrant — no external check on its power, no judicial review — to track your cell phone and its usage? There are two sides — grow the State or shrink it. Pick one. I know which side Eric Holder is on.
