Bono, the lead singer of U2 who is working hard to get a Nobel Peace
Prize for caring, had this to say yesterday at Live 8, the latest
meaningless gesture by the Left:
Three thousand Africans, mostly children, die every day of mosquito bites. We can fix that.
If the world hadn’t become hysterical and banned the use of DDT after
Rachel Carson published “Silent Spring,” then maybe those kids wouldn’t
be dying. It was the envior-wacko Left that campaigned against DDT and
now they’re the ones decrying the rise of malaria. Typical.
