Commenter ‘Bluboy’ responds to this Winston-Salem Journal editorial on the ouster of Forsyth County Board of Elections member Eric Elliott:

Its well known at the time that the vast majority of the early voters were Obama supporters. Both of the state boards actions here were about helping early voters. Hmmmmm..

Remember that some believe that Elliott’s ouster was politically motivated, because he refused to go along with two state directives right before the 2008 election. One was to extend voting hours without proper notice. The other was to distribute handouts informing voters that a straight-party vote did not count in the presidential election.

Both were designed to help Obama win the election. I heard more than one story of voters going to the polls with the intention of voting for president only.

Always good to know it’s not just me.
