President Obama’s insistence that a technique we use regularly in military training is torture reminds me of a scene from the first Crocodile Dundee movie. A would-be mugger pulls a switchblade on Dundee and his squeeze on a Manhattan street. “That’s not a knoyfe,” he says, pointing to the small sticker the hood is carrying. “THIS is a knoyfe!” At which time he pulls out a foot-long Bowie knife.
Obama needs to check out these documents found in an Al Qaeda lair. As Dundee would say of waterboarding: “That’s not torture; THIS is torture!”
