It just keeps getting better and better.
At last night’s meeting, the High Point City Council offered up $100,000 in economic incentives to a furniture manufacturer:
The incentives would be given in four installments to Schnadig International Corp. if it moves office, warehouse and some manufacturing facilities to 4200 Tudor Lane, off N.C. 68 near Piedmont Triad International Airport, north of High Point.
….High Point is the company’s first choice, and Milleson said officials plan to make a decision on relocating in the next several days. It also is considering warehouse sites in Forsyth County and the West Coast. Tudor Lane has a Greensboro address, but Schnadig would get a post office box with a High Point address.
Credit goes to the four council members —Bill Bencini, Foster Douglas, Mike Pugh and Bernita Sims — who voted no.
