Rev. Mac Legerton, writing for the NC Justice Center, reveals just one of the (many) schizophrenic arguments against free trade in his article entitled “Jewels of North Carolina.”

He pleads that for the sake of diversity (the large Native American, African American, European American, and Latino populations in Legerton’s Robeson County) we must rein in free trade.

Does this mean, Rev. Legerton, that it’s OK to put people of diversity out of work as long as they don’t live in America?

Is it similarly OK to make products unaffordable for people of diversity in America as long as those products were made in America?

I?m thoroughly confused. Whose on first?
