One of his guests this afternoon will be education guru, Terry Stoops. He’ll be enlightening listeners about graduation rates. If you had any doubt about just how bad public education is these days, check out this stat (from the fingers of Terry himself): The statewide on-time graduation rate for the state is 66.2 percent (2002-2003 school year) according to the latest Education Week report (June 22, 2006). This is the percentage of students who begin 9th grade and graduate four years later. The US average is 69.6 percent.
