To the old media, Detroit (yes, that Detroit) is some kind of big-government Shangri-La of union bosses, Democrat leadership, and government bailout nirvana. Same folks perennially envision whatever happens to be the high-tech “environmentally friendly” clown car of the moment as the next manufacturing miracle (while they diligently ignore the green energy revolution that’s going on before them right now).
