Now we see in Newsweek that former Bush strategist Karl Rove has some thoughts about the potential matchups of the presidential contenders in the Tar Heel state.

Clinton is stronger vs. McCain than Obama in working-class, eastern
textile and farm counties like Wilson and Cumberland, where voters
prize guns and faith. But college students and New South, left-leaning
independents in Durham, Orange and Guilford are more likely to be
motivated by Obama than Clinton.
