At today’s hearing before the state Board of Elections, former Gov. Mike Easley said that his friend McQueen Campbell contemplated filing a lawsuit about a “false” newspaper story about the governor’s travels published in 2008.

Turns out that story was published in Carolina Journal, Don Carrington’s “Clues Point to Secret Easley Air Service.”
