With 15 of 15 counties reporting, Dr. Carl Mumpower is pronounced the winner of the 11th District Congressional race in the Republican primary. Mumpower has a solid, principled voting record, but he tends to hurt a lot of feelings by giving people the impression he thinks he knows more than they do. He was campaigning like losing wasn’t an option. Spence Campbell was so self-assured, it looked like he was on some inside track. Though John Armor’s respect for the Constitution and knowledge of history that shouldn’t repeat itself is badly needed in Congress, his share of the votes reflects his apparent lack of interest in running to win.
