Let’s get this straight. The $35 million National Whitewater Center will not open to the public until mid-September. That gives it, what, a few weeks to make money to start paying back the loans the city and county are standing behind, correct?
This means that local taxpayers are almost certainly on the hook for this thing, at least for 2006.
