Well, that was quick.

There is already an online petition calling for all charges to be dropped against those arrested in the latest Uptown riot on Saturday night.

Kinda unclear on the whole event. Organizers say they had a permit for the Uptown event. If the group had a permit, then why does the CMPD tell them to turn the sound down? Is your permit conditioned on no one else complaining about the noise? Maybe it is, I do not know. But there has to be a fact to this matter.

And does this also mean that, say, Speed Week and the Muffler/Tire/Blank Bowl events are similarly constrained? Someone complains, CMPD will order them to turn it down? Somehow I don’t think so, but I plan to find out.
