Today’s Wall Street Journal has an excellent story entitled The Dartmouth Fracas by Peter Robinson. He is one of the three recently elected trustees who have the Dartmouth administration in a frenzy because each of them is more interested in academic standards, a solid curriculum and free speech than in the usual litany of things that are foremost in the minds of administrators, such as “diversity” and “multiculturalism.”

Does anyone suppose that there would be an uproar if the three new trustees had been, say, Ward Churchill, Stanley Fish and Noam Chomsky rather than three advocates of free markets and limited government?
