The N&R ponders Greensboro City Manager Mitchell Johnson’s council review at tonight’s meeting, rehashing much of what’s already been reported by alt-media sources.

Given the council’s shift on the EEOC suit filed by 39 black officers —– they voted twice to award $750,000 before voting to pull the offer after getting an earful from constituents —- I’ll raise the possibility that Johnson could be fired tonight, though I doubt if fence-sitters Sandra Anderson Groat and Zack Matheny would actually vote for such a motion. But someone — probably council member Trudy Wade — will make such a motion.

But in a comment to this Guarino post on the reinstatement of one of the EEOC officers accused of sexual assault, Bubba says “we learn in another N&R story that Mitch Johnson thinks he’s done a good job. The Usual Suspects on City Council do their expected Amen Chorus bit. “Business As Usual, folks. Nothing to see here. Let’s move forward…….”
