And then marvel at how the national mainstream media has been mostly silent on the violent nature of some union marchers in Madison. We all know how the MSM would be all over it with wall to wall coverage if the situations were reversed and this happened to be Tea Partiers trashing a state capitol building on the inside and out, bullying the opposition, and issuing multiple death threats to Democrat politicos. …
Indeed, and it doesn’t take that much imagination, because it was just two months ago that the establishment media and their Democrat allies were sanctimoniously wringing their hands and acting as if mere words, commonplace metaphors–most damning and outrageous being, we were lectured, Sarah Palin’s targeting congressional districts in an election–were responsible for an incomprehensible lunatic’s shooting rampage in Arizona. They tripped over themselves to libel the Tea Party and Palin as the real killers, and they were happy to do so.
So ST is right to marvel at the ability of the establishment media to strain at gnats to discover and blame deadly “vitriol” from the Tea Party et al. while blithely ignoring overt death threats aimed at elected Republicans and violence against Tea Party activists and conservatives (continuing, that is, their tendency to ignore murderous violence from the Angry Left.)
And she is also right to thank conservative citizen journalists for doing the job that the professional journalists are neglecting out of politics.
