Locksters:

OK, I’m asking for some guidance here. When it comes to graffiti, what if any are the ethical guidelines that cover graffiti? Say I were for some reason to put up some impromptu signage?essentially graffiti?and then some enterprising ne’er-do-well comes along and adds, deletes, or alters my carefully crafted work, changing its message in the process.

Am I obligated to leave the new stuff, and allow the whole thing to morph unrestricted, or can I 1) remove the additional material (thus restoring my message to its pristine state), or, 2) remove my own original graffiti, (thus rendering the follow-on graffiti senseless)? I am getting a Super headache over this, so I’m calling for a moratorium on the graffiti at this point. Thanks for any advice.
