Today’s Wall Street Journal features an op-ed by Prof. Lawrence H. White of George Mason University, discussing the amazing German recovery post WWII. Notable because of deregulation, market-friendly policies and an easing of tax burdens, and contrary to the Keynesian-style spending spree approach, the recovery continued until the early 1960’s, when planners were again in ascendancy.
