Boone Town Manager John Ward on Friday outlined a series of ongoing and recommended changes to town procedures in an effort to streamline and shorten meetings, improve town efficiency and enhance openness and transparency.
Some specifics included using technology to broadcast meetings, meeting less often, not adding to the agendas after deadlines for adding things to the agenda, not hiring PR staff, training employees to sub for each other and plan for their successors, and focusing on public works.
