With AOC’s Green New Deal proposing to completely makeover American society with the purpose of fighting climate change (at untold cost both monetarily and to individual liberty) there seems to be an obvious question that I have yet to hear asked. If implemented as proposed, by how much will global temperatures be reduced and over what period of time? I don’t know the answer to this and probably AOC doesn’t either, but if the purpose of her plan is to keep the ice caps from melting and the streets of New York from flooding, etc, etc. it seems reasonable to ask about the extent to which it will actually accomplish those goals, unless of course, the means are actually the ends. Or maybe it’s just the thought that counts.
