Hadn’t really thought of the real estate bubble in these terms before: a manufacturing base which employed the otherwise unemployable. And I’m not 100% sure that is correct.
But it does get you thinking about exactly what kind of jobs are supposed to replace the tens of thousands lost locally and millions lost nationally.
