Mecklenburg County permits for January were down almost 60 percent from the same time last year. All segments were hit with townhomes coming in the hardest hit with a 74 percent decline. Single-family homes were down 63 percent and condos about 25 percent.
This is exactly what you would expect in the face of a real estate correction. No need to spin it, this will continue for several more months. At a minimum.
