WSJS reports that no charges will be filed against 80-year-old Charles Haithcock in the death of 19-year-old Michael Lamont Medley. Greensboro police say Medley was armed as he was trying to break into Haithcock’s Walnut Street apartment.
The N&R’s Doug Clark laments the destructive path the late Mr. Medley took. The paper updates Thursday’s story, writing that “Medley was armed with a ‘deadly weapon,'” but police declined to disclose what type. But I can’t find an update in today’s edition. I can’t help but wonder why.
