WSFCS Superintendent Don Martin on the state’s decision to pull school construction funds —-$37 million from the lottery —- to help balance the budget:

“You can’t turn off the lights and say we’re not going to go to school today … that’s why there was this direction,” Martin said. “There’s a little $43 million bump the state identified to help get through the rest of this year.”

Again, it never fails to amaze me the way these numbers are just tossed around.
