Did you see the story from California about the greedy politicians who stole public money and gave themselves massive raises? Well, they were arrested today in what prosecutors called “corruption on steroids.” But if you wanted to know which party they were members of, good luck:
Today, eight city council members were arrested in Bell, California for what Los Angeles County District Attorney labeled “corruption on steroids.” Thus far, every major news outlet that has reported on the story has omitted the fact that all eight individuals arrested are Democrats.
Remember this little rule next time to determine party in these cases: If it’s a Republican the party affiliation will be in the headline and the first paragraph; if it involves Democrats you will not see party affiliation in the entire story.
