Almost 60 years have passed since political scientist V.O. Key labeled North Carolina a “progressive” state, at least in comparison with its southern neighbors.
Two Western Carolina University professors have edited a new book that takes another look at Key’s assessment in light of current economic and political data.
They shared highlights of the book, The New Politics of North Carolina, during today’s John Locke Foundation Shaftesbury Society presentation.
