When it comes to Gov. Whatshisname’s e-mail policy committee, it gets worse. Much worse actually, hard as that may be to believe. Here’s how Franklin Freeman, Easley’s handpicked head of the committee, described his computer usage to the N&O:

I don’t even know how to cut a computer on. I do not communicate by e-mail. I receive it. I have an e-mail address to receive it, but I’m still one of the old-fashioned folks that communicates by telephone or face to face.

Lovely. And another example of quality leadership from the governor, last seen running away from his administration’s mishandling of mental health reform, which ultimately brought this whole e-mail flap about.
