The People’s Cube is a hilarious Web site produced by a former resident of the old Soviet Union. It skewers the Left with humor dressed up in Marxist-Leninist clothing. But it recently published a letter exchange with a U.S. Army lieutenant serving in Iraq that was not played for laughs. The lieutenant was born in Ukraine and immigrated to the U.S. in 1999. Here’s part of 1Lt. Vitaly Sherbina’s letter:
Like any immigrant, I felt so proud to get my US citizenship and be part of such a great nation and now I can’t believe how the liberals are trying to demolish everything that this country was based on: the Christian values, the principles. When I go back to the States, I hear people thank me constantly for my service and for protecting my country — and believe me, it is my privilege.
